Overview:
Ovolic was a gig-based freelancing marketplace developed with the intent to create a more balanced competitive environment for freelancers, addressing challenges seen on larger platforms such as Fiverr and Upwork, where competition is high.
Objective:
The platform aimed to reduce excessive competition by offering fairer visibility and opportunities for freelancers, helping users secure projects more effectively.
Project Duration:
The marketplace operated from 2021 until 2024.
Challenges & Outcome:
Despite efforts in platform design and user experience, Ovolic faced marketing limitations that impacted user acquisition and growth. Due to these challenges, the project was discontinued in 2024.
Value:
